Styriarte has announced its 2025 season. The season will honor the 400th anniversary of UNESCO World Heritage Site Eggenberg Palace. Here is a rundown of the classical vocal performances on offer.
First up is “Das verwunschene Glück,” a ballet opera. It stars Sophie Daneman, Johanna Falkinger, Anna Manske, Julian Habermann, Markus Schäfer, and Dietrich Henschel. Michael Hell conducts the production.
Performance Dates: June 21 – 23, 2025 The King’s Singers present “Renaissance,” a showcase featuring music by Nicholas Ludford, William Byrd Thomas Weelkes, Robert Stone, William Mundy, John Taverner, Hildegard von Bingen, Thomas Tallis, and John Sheppard, among others. Performance Dates: June 23, 2025 Agnes Palmisano headlines “Dudel Diva,” a concert featuring works by Hummel, Beethoven, Müller, Millöcker, Strauss, Gruber, Fuchsberger, and Stippich, among others. She is joined by the Schrammelorchester.
Performance Dates: June 24, 2025 Beethoven’s Ninth symphony closes a mammoth program that also includes works by Bach, Saint-Saëns, and Schumann. Vocal soloists include Maria Ladurner, Mario Lerchenberger, Matthias Hausmann, and others. Melissa Dermastia conducts and also plays the organ in the Bach “Toccata, Adagio, and Fugue” in C Major.
