A hidden gem of a pub-restaurant in with a unique feature which always delights first-time customers has had a stunning upgrade, and there's more to look forward to next year. The Mount Edgecumbe is in a secluded, country-feel spot in and yet it's close to the town centre. And inside it has a seating area set into the natural rock formations, making a cosy cave-like feature which delights those visiting for the first time.

A new restaurant area has been built and customers have loved the changes, which saw the existing restaurant inside transformed into a lounge area where customers can still eat. And next year the team is hoping to open its new roof terrace with spectacular views across the Edcumbe rocks. The family-run Mount Edgecumbe also has six luxury boutique bedrooms for guests to stay in.

It has the full five stars on TripAdvisor . The latest reviews, from last month says: "Absolutely faultless stay in this gorgeous hotel - very friendly attentive staff. Really comfortable bed and great nights sleep followed by a lovely breakfast then a wander down the hill into the lovely town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Would highly recommend." Director Robert Hogben said: "‘We are so excited about our new restaurant. Our family business would probably not have survived through Covid without the addition of the marquee we erected in 2020 and the support of our customers and staff.

" "As restrictions eased, we realised that everyone enjoyed the space, so my wife and I made the decisio.
