Vadodara: In the wake of violent protests in Bangladesh that has killed hundreds, MS University’s office of international affairs (OIA) on Tuesday convened a meeting with students from the neighbouring country. Students from Bangladesh were called on Tuesday evening by OIA director Dhanesh Patel to know about their well-being. Patel told mediapersons that there are 80-odd students from Bangladesh in various faculties.

“We are taking stock of the situation. Many of these students are in touch with their families and relatives there. But we are also trying to know if they are facing any difficulties in reaching out to their families and support that we can extend to them,” Patel said.

He said that Bangladeshi students reside in different areas of the city, including Fatehgunj, Nizampura, Pratapgunj, and Alkapuri, among others. “They all are our students and we are assuring them all the support that they require during this time of crisis,” said Patel.
