Alijaz Skorjanec has given a candid insight into how rehearsals for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing are going amid the ongoing scandals. The dancer's highly anticipated comeback was unveiled on The One Show on BBC Two earlier this month, where he couldn't hide his excitement about rejoining the BBC dance extravaganza after a two-year hiatus for family time. Just days on from Alijaz's big comeback being announced on live TV it was revealed that Graziano Di Prima had been dropped from the 2024 roster of professional dancers amid allegations he was inappropriate with his 2023 celebrity partner Zara McDermott .

The Italian dancer later admitted he kicked the former Love Island star during a training session last year but denied spitting at her. Graziano's dismissal came just weeks on from Giovanni Pernice announcing his exit from the Strictly franchise amid allegations made against him by Amanda Abbington. Giovanni denies the claims made by the Sherlock actress and has vowed to clear his name.

Despite Strictly's 20th anniversary year being marred with investigation and allegations the BBC show still has plenty to celebrate - including the return of Alijaz. Taking to social media on Monday, the dad-of-one couldn't hide his excitement as he mingled with his fellow pros and began rehearsals. "My first day back on Strictly - wow!" Alijaz began as he spoke to his fans via his Instagram Stories.

"I love it. I am so excited. I am absolutely exhausted and it's not even lunch time.
