Strictly's Pasha Kovalev and Rachel Riley on stage (Image: BBC) Pasha Kovalev revealed exactly why his wife's dancing days are now over, despite Strictly bringing them together, in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.

The pro, whose new show Barista The Musical debuts next month, admitted that Rachel Riley has "no interest" in what he does for a living, as she inhabits a very different world career-wise. He also added that their priorities have majorly changed since choosing to start a family. "We won't dance together now since we got kids but before kids, we quite often would find ourselves in the club, just having fun!" he explained.

Pasha revealed that although it isn't "necessarily" bad for them to combine work and personal life, both took a step away from the dancing world when they welcomed their two daughters, Maven and Noa. Pasha revealed that he left Strictly just months before marrying Rachel because he knew he had plans to "expand the family" and couldn't make the time commitment to the show as a married man and father-to-be. Now he usually focuses on creating choreography instead of taking to the dancefloor himself, although he does have a tour coming up with other Strictly pros in October which will see him show off his moves again.
