Sam Quek has opened up about being eliminated on Strictly Come Dancing, admitting she is "gutted" to no longer be competing on the BBC One show. Morning Live host Sam and her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin became the latest duo to be voted off Strictly on Saturday (2 November), following another tense dance off. Nikita and Sam wound up in the bottom alongside Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, with the judges ultimately opting to save Montell and Johannes.

Sam and Nikita appeared on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Monday to chat about their elimination, with Sam saying she has "no regrets" about her time on the dance show. "It's been a strange 36 hours," she told host Fleur East. "But ultimately just proud of what I achieved really.

Gutted that I'm going to miss this guy every single day putting up with me learning something new. But I've got no regrets." Sam put out a lengthy statement on social media after her exit aired on Sunday evening.

She sadly told fans she felt she had "more to give" on Strictly but her time was cut short. In the message, she told fans: "For me..

. Strictly was tougher than I imagined. I held myself to the highest standard I could and put an expectation on myself that in hindsight may have been unrealistic.

But my respect for the show, my partner and my family meant I was going to give the process everything I had." Sam went on to speak about the toll Strictly had taken on her family life, before adding: "And must stress, I knew wha.
