Strictly Come Dancing star Jamie Borthwick impressed the judges over the weekend with his Paso Doble with his professional partner Michelle Tsiakkas. Earning a near-perfect score of 39, it put the actor at the top of the leaderboard along with Gladiator star Montell Douglas. His routine didn't only impress the judges as some of Jamie's co-stars were seen in the audience on their feet, applauding the dance.

Janette said: "You had some EastEnders cast members in the audience, Tanya Franks , and Adam Woodyatt. They were there on Saturday. What did Adam think of the dance and do you think he'll ever do Strictly?" Adam, who is best known for playing Ian Beale on the BBC soap isn't one to shy away from reality shows as he competed in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2021.

Jamie replied: "You know what? I think he could be swayed to do Strictly. He really enjoyed it on Saturday and he's been loads of times before to support other people. I think yeah, if you gave him a little push he would be Strictly.

" The EastEnders star shared his colleagues were proud to watch him on the dancefloor with Michelle. Over the years, BBC fans have seen many soap stars grace the Strictly floor, including Maisie Smith, James Bye , Bobby Brazier and Emma Barton . This weekend, Jamie and Michelle will be doing an American Smooth Foxtrot to the Addams Family theme tune for Halloween week.
