Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones has revealed that rehearsals this year have been 'very difficult' amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the BBC show. Fans of the iconic BBC show will know that things have taken a turn for the worst for Strictly bosses this year following the fallout from Amanda Abbington's participation last year. Sherlock star Amanda, 50, was paired with Italian professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, 33, who had been on the show for nine years.

However, Amanda suddenly quit just weeks into the series. Months later, she made allegations about Giovanni, claiming that she suffered from PTSD after being paired with him. Giovanni was since axed from the show.

The drama doesn't stop there however, as Giovanni's fellow professional dancer Graziano Di Prima was also given his marching orders after he admitted to kicking his celebrity partner, Zara McDermott while they were paired together on the show. Naturally, in recent months, there has been much controversy surrounding the BBC programme, however, bosses are hoping that the new lineup - which includes EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick and Love Island star Tasha Ghouri - will help dispel some of the scandal. Professional dancer Katya Jones has now hinted that things are not going as smoothly as they could be as she admitted that rehearsals have been 'very difficult' this year following the loss of Giovanni and Graziano.

When asked by a follower on Instagram how it's all going, Katya was honest in he.
