' Stree 2 ' has left the industry and everyone shocked with his humungous number on its opening day. The film made around Rs 60 crore in its opening day, which also included around Rs 7-8 crore which came from its paid previews on Wednesday night. The holiday on Independence day , hugely helped the movie and it got those numbers.
However, as expected, it was bound to see a drop on a normal day. On its Day 2, Friday, the film saw a drop of around 40 percent. Yet, it managed to make Rs 30 crore which is a very good number.
Most movies this year, have failed to garner this number even over the weekend, within its first three days. So, this Friday number is still good. But hopes are high from the Saturday and Sunday numbers, followed by the raksha bandhan holiday on Monday.
According to Sacnilk, after making Rs 30 crore on its second day, the film now stands at Rs 90.30 crore. So, it's now inching towards the Rs 100 crore club and that should happen by Saturday.
The weekend numbers are expected to grow hopefully and be better from Friday. Stree 2 Movie Review This Shraddha Kapoor , Rajkummar Rao starrer released with ' Vedaa ' and ' Khel Khel Mein ', but it has run way ahead of both these movies, who have made single digit numbers on both the days. 'Stree 2' is getting a good response from the multiplex audience and single screens both, whereas, 'Khel Khel Mein' is more limited to the multiplex audience.
'Stree 2' also had a wider release than both the other films, in around 3500.
