Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ' Stree 2 ' has set a new record, leaving everyone shocked! The film has not only superceeded its first part, but also has now beaten the record of many other biggies - including 'Gadar 2' last year and 'Kalki 2898 AD' this year. 'Stree 2' had some paid previews on Wednesday night as well and that also brought in numbers. It was expected that the film will break records as the advance collection, during the midnight of release was already Rs 20 crore.
The current bookings along with the paid previews have further led to a huge number at the box office which was absolutely unexpected. According to Sacnilk, 'Stree 2' made Rs 8.35 crore from its paid previews, while the first day collection of the movie is around Rs 46 crore.
Thus the total opening day collection is Rs 54.35 crore. This is no small feat as with this number 'Stree 2' surprasses movies like 'Kalki 2898 AD' and 'Fighter', thus becoming the biggest opener of the year so far.
The big Independence day holiday has worked in the film's favour, and yet this is not something which was expected as two other biggies have released along with 'Stree 2'. But ' Khel Khel Mein ' and ' Vedaa ' are far behind 'Stree 2'. The good part, according to trade, is that the film has done well in all the circuits across the country, which has led to such numbers.
Meanwhile, 'Vedaa' and 'Khel Khel Mein' have managed to make Rs 6 crore nett and around Rs 4.50 crore net respectively. It is expected th.
