While fans await a fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” in 2025, they may also treat themselves to a live version of the show on Broadway What Happened: After playing in London’s West End , "Stranger Things: The First Shadow" is coming to the U.S. It will make its Broadway debut with previews beginning on March 28, 2025.

"Stranger Things: The First Shadow" is a prequel to the events in the Netflix series. Fans may recognize several characters in the play like younger versions of Joyce, Bob Newby and Hopper. Kat Trefry and Jack Thorne wrote the play with “Stranger Things” creators Matt and Ross Duffer (aka The Duffer Brothers ).
Thorne previously wrote the stage adaptation of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." Casting for the Broadway version will has yet to take place. Tickets for the Broadway show are available for presale on Sept.
13 and available to all on Sept. 17. The London play earned two Olivier Awards.
