After a disappointing year for sunflowers, the team at Stourton Estates have been busy working on the next event, which is one not to miss. Earlier this year the site, near Horncastle, had planned to open its annual sunflower experience, but after challenging weather conditions, the plants were half the size of last year. Despite not being able to hold the event, visitors were still able to visit the estate and explore its lovely walks and picnic spots.

However, the team is now preparing for its next event, and on Sunday, September 8, it will be have its first food and drink fayre, with more than 50 local businesses set to attend. There will also be self-guided trails around the woods as well as talks and demonstrations from local producers. The fayre will be taking place in the roundhouse, which is a unique setting and usually used to house the young red deer over the colder winter months.

Some of the tasty treats on offer include sweet treats like fudge and brownies, drinks like cider and beer, as well as a huge range of other foods. With everything from fish and pastries to pork and cheese on offer. There will also be a range of kitchenware, pottery, glassware, and woodcraft products showcased on the day.

The event is free to enter but it does cost £5 for car parking which will go towards the upkeep of the grounds and venue. A spokesperson for Stourton Estates said: "Visitors can really make a day at the event enjoying demonstrations and talks from producers, as well as f.
