Steven Arthur Stenman found peaceful rest in heaven in July 2024. He was 59. Steve was born on October 20, 1964, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Art and Dorothy (Faunce) Stenman.

His family moved to Alpena, Michigan in 1975 and Steve graduated from Alpena High School in 1983. He attended Eastern Michigan University and eventually moved back to his hometown where he spent the majority of his life.Steve is father to Nickolas Stenman, and was very proud of Nick's academic and athletic achievements.

Steve enjoyed sharing his creative talents, huge personality and big brain with family, friends and the community while acting in local theater, crafting bold paintings and murals, cooking, belting out tunes on karaoke night, and winning every Trivial Pursuit game he played. Hewas a very talented performer and was most proud of his roles in Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Escanaba in 'da Moonlight (Reuben), and Escanaba in Love (Albert Soady Sr.).

Steve was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and served his country proudly in Korea and Operation Desert Storm. Steve was loved and surrounded by a supportive family and friend group. He struggled to cope with alcohol addiction and mental health issues, which led to his passing.

Steve is survived by his mother, Dorothy, and son, Nick, and a large family who will greatly miss his sense of humor and giant hugs: Shari Donley (Jerry), Christine Lawrence (Rick), Scott Stenman (Sherri), and Heidi Dell'Acqua (Tony), and many niece.
