Steve works alongside his sister Suzie, who is an expert in leather. The third-generation horologist runs the Clock Workshop in Witney, Oxfordshire, following in the footsteps of his grandfather who set up his own shop in 1910.
His business was passed down to Steve's father and after qualifying in the business, Steve took over himself. He regularly services clocks his grandfather and father worked on before him. Recalling his favourite item on The Repair Shop to date, he said: "I find most of the clocks reasonably straightforward forward but one that sticks out is the Beliard clock which became a bit of a nightmare.
"It had had a bash and then we couldn’t get a correct type of mainspring so it took much longer than expected but once completed, it turned out really well and was a cracking clock."
