Stephens, Leona I. 1934-2024 St. Joseph, Mo.

Leona Ilene Stephens, aged 90, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024.

Born on Sept. 5, 1934, in Mt. Moriah, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Edith and Everett Still.

Leona was a graduate of Mt. Moriah School, and found joy in her work at Stetson Hats, where she could express her love for sewing. She cherished traveling in an RV with her late husband, Wilbur Stephens.

Leona was preceded in death by her beloved parents and husband. She is survived by her son, Jerry Stephens and his partner, Brandi Moutrey, both of St. Joseph.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov.

1, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home. Graveside Services and Interment will follow at 2 p.m.
