This Halloween, visitors to Sudeley Castle are in for a truly spellbinding experience. From October 26 to November 3, the historic Cotswold castle will transform into a haven for the spooky season, offering a range of eerie yet family-friendly activities that celebrate both its medieval roots and its ghostly past. For families with young children, the castle grounds will host a Medieval Monster Trail.

This interactive experience invites children to dress up in their spookiest attire and explore the historic grounds in search of five friendly medieval characters. These mystical figures, scattered around the grounds, will ignite imaginations and introduce young adventurers to the world of medieval myths. The trail winds through the castle’s gardens, culminating in a stop at Sudeley’s Orangery for a grand Medieval Monsters Ball.

Adding an educational twist to the trail, visitors will also have the chance to explore the ruins of a lost medieval village. In collaboration with archaeologists from Dig Ventures, the trail leads to Sudeley's famous Ha-Ha, where participants can learn about life in medieval times. As the sun sets and the autumn light fades, the castle grounds undergo a dramatic transformation.

On the evenings of October 27, 29, and 31, from 3pm to 5pm, the castle will host a spooky twilight trail. Special effects, including smoke and pyrotechnics, will set the mood for a truly eerie atmosphere. With Chase Lane Fireworks providing the spectacular effects, visitors c.
