Pune: The Maharashtra State Skill University has introduced a special initiative for aspiring entrepreneurs and signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) with state govt to implement the Academy of Maharashtra Research Upliftment and Training (AMRIT). Under this scheme, 50 selected entrepreneurs will receive financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh each, a statement issued by the Skill University said. As per the MoU, the Skill University will select 50 new entrepreneurs from the state every year.

Through this scheme, we aim to surmount that hurdle. These 50 businesses will receive Rs25,000 per month for a year, supporting them during the initial phase of their business setup,” said Skills University vice chancellor Apoorva Palkar. State govt has also launched the Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Scheme.

Aspiring entrepreneurs in the state can avail of these initiatives, added Palkar. “In this year’s budget, Union govt has made various provisions and schemes for young entrepreneurs which would be promoted in Maharashtra,” the VC said.
