The is finally coming together. Lucasflim showed off the first trailer for as part of its presentation at D23 Friday, where audiences got a look at the coming-of-age series. centers on a group of kids lost in a galaxy far, far away — as they try to make their way home.

The show hails from Jon Watts, who directed Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, and Christopher Ford, Watts’ frequent collaborator. duo Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni executive produce the show, which stars Jude Law and is set in the New Republic era of the canon (or in simpler terms, the years after the Empire’s fall in .) A crew of top-flight directors worked on the project, including ‘s Daniels and .

The cast includes young actors Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. It’s the latest in a string of TV shows Lucasflim has made for Disney+, beginning with , which helped power the streaming service in its early days five years ago. That was followed by spinoffs including and , as well as series such as the acclaimed and .

is plotting a return to the big screen in 2026 with , the first film since 2019’s . launches on Dec. 3.
