Pune: Admissions to Std XI science stream in Eklavya residential schools run by the state govt for ST students are in the last stage. So far, 710 seats out of 900 have been filled. Admissions conducted by the state tribal development department will close by Aug 25.
A statement issued by the department said that there were 190 vacant seats. “Various measures are implemented by the tribal development department to provide education to students from scheduled tribes at par with renowned English medium schools. These students receive free education in English and follow Central Board of Secondary Education syllabus,” the statement added.
