An arrest warrant has been issued for Toron M. Melton, 34, with a last known address in Washington, D.C.
He will be charged with second-and- third-degree grand larceny, both felonies, police said. “Probable cause was established after a review of evidence obtained during the investigation led to the identification of a suspect, and a suspect vehicle,” said Lt. Paul Veitch, city police public information officer.
“Further investigation resulted in the identification of Mr. Melton.” The investigation remained ongoing Tuesday, police said.
At least one other male suspect was seen on camera footage from the burglary, according to prior reports. Lola Saratoga, located at 372 Broadway, was burglarized around 5 a.m.
Dec. 12, 2023. Upon arriving, police said they found the glass door broken and store merchandise gone.
Owner Megan Druckman had said over $120,000 worth of Birkin, Chanel and Dior bags were taken. Police said video of the suspects showed them coming and going in under two minutes. They said the men arrived and left the incident in a dark-colored sedan.
On July 23, the business' Guilderland location in Stuyvesant Plaza was also robbed around 12:43 a.m. Police said three people were involved in the burglary there, smashing the store's front window and stealing merchandise.
It’s unclear what merchandise was stolen, or its total monetary value, was taken at the Guilderland location. The suspects then fled in a newer model, white Honda SUV, police said. -.
