A spectacular Christmas display will not return this year. For the last three years people walking down Saxifrage Way, Worthing, in the run up to the big day will have been stopped in their tracks by the breathtaking arrangement of twinkling lights, penguins, reindeers, Santas, puddings and much more. But this year, organisers have made the decision to take a break due to personal circumstances.
They have promised they will be back with the festive bonanza next year. “Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances we will be taking a break from our annual Christmas light display this year,” they said in a statement. But for this year we must take a break to focus on ourselves and our families. “We wish you all the best and hope you have the most amazing Christmas from all of us here at Saxifrage Way Christmas lights.” The display has raised thousands for Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance since 2020 and is usually sponsored by businesses and Worthing Lions. Last year, the lights were turned on every day from November 26 until January 1 between 4.
