The new homes site near the town centre will feature 31 “beautiful” new homes in Wincanton, ranging from two to five bedrooms. Joined by West Country housebuilder Devonshire Homes, the mayor cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark a significant milestone in bringing more housing to Wincanton. Based in Wincanton, Dancing Green, the new site is well underway with several home buyers looking to move to the exclusive development.

Devonshire Homes is contributing to the local community through several contributions under an S106 agreement. This includes a £75,993 contribution towards local education, £42,253 towards an equipped play area, £21,173 towards a play pitch and £7,223 towards youth facilities. Mayor Ellard said: “I was delighted to cut the ribbon at Devonshire Homes’ Wincanton site to mark the opening of Dancing Green and the addition of high-quality new homes for our town.

“It’s great to see the building works advancing so well, with completed houses now out of the ground, it is quite a transformation from the original site!” Sales executives Caroline and Stevie are now based on-site to assist home buyers, helping find them their next home whilst providing more information on the schemes and initiatives available. Prices at Dancing Green start from £450,000, with those interested being able to go and visit the Dancing Green show home. Jane Pearce is the Sales and Marketing Director at Devonshire Homes.
