SOHAR Port and Freezone recently earned the prestigious Environmental Protection Award at The Maritime Standard Awards 2024, a testament to their dedication to sustainable practices within the maritime sector. This honor highlights their continuous efforts in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable maritime operations.

This year, SOHAR has been proactive in rolling out various significant environmental initiatives. Notable among these is the creation of the Marsa LNG bunkering hub, establishing SOHAR as a frontrunner in delivering greener energy options for maritime activities. Moreover, the inception of the SOHAR Net Zero Alliance (SNZA) is set to propel Oman towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

This initiative is backed by strategic partnerships with various industrial entities aimed at enhancing sustainable operations.
