Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has unveiled the first glimpse into its $60 million AUD update, which is set to launch in October 2024 after just ten months of work. The transformation includes an extensive refurbishment to enhance the hotel’s offering for its guests while retaining the distinctive heritage it is known for across the world. With a storied history spanning over half a century, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has been an iconic feature of Sydney's urban landscape since its inception as the Wentworth Hotel in 1966.

Just footsteps away from Australia’s key landmarks, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, the luxury hotel has been hosting international guests since its beginnings. Led by architecture and interior design firm Fender Katsalidis, the refurbishment of the heritage-listed property includes 436 guest rooms and suites that have been re-imagined to offer a blend of luxury and comfort, alongside the redesign of public spaces and the grand entrance lobby, which will welcome guests with vibrant, striking features. New features of the hotel will include the Health & Wellness Studio designed with a fully equipped gym, and an exclusive club lounge for existing members and day pass holders to relax, entertain and work.
