Soccer AM's top stars are set to make a comeback, with Rocket unveiling grand plans for a tribute to the iconic football show. First hitting the airwaves in August 1994, the much-loved programme ran for an impressive 29 years . The show was hosted by a roster of famous faces over the years, including Helen Chamberlain, Tim Lovejoy, Max Rushden, John Fendley and Jimmy Bullard, who recapped the week in football every Saturday morning while interviewing celebrity guests.

Alongside them were the likes of 'Rocket', Peter 'Tubes' Dale, and Adam Smith (aka Frankie Fryer), who consistently delivered entertaining skits related to the beautiful game. Although it's been over a year since we've seen any 'Taxi', 'Showboat', 'Soccer AM Pro AM' or 'You Know The Drill' segments, Rocket has plans to revive the popular show under a new name and format. That includes potentially bringing back some of the more famous Soccerettes.

Soccerette was a regular feature of the programme during its heyday before it was cancelled in 2015. In a chat with , Rocket revealed: "The show's been off air for a whole season now. And I think a lot of fans, especially myself, missed it.

I left when Helen [Chamberlain, a former presenter] left. So that was about seven years ago. But I just feel like there's a void in our lives on a Saturday morning.
