The R-rated film, starring Rachel Zegler ( West Side Story ), Jaeden Martell (It) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2), envisions a world where the Y2K computer crisis predicted for the year 2000 actually unfolds.

Written and directed by Saturday Night Live alum Kyle Mooney, Y2K centers on best friends Eli (Martell) and Danny (Dennison), who decide to crash a New Year’s Eve party on the last night of 1999. However, Eli’s hopes of impressing his crush Laura (Zegler) are abruptly derailed when the Y2K bug triggers chaos at midnight, turning everyday electronics into deadly machines. The trailer for the Jonah Hill-produced film, set to hit theaters on December 6, arrives just a week after Zegler sparked yet another wave of controversy during the promotion of her long-delayed Disney film Snow White .
