While we don't yet have a release date for when we can begin unlocking the Smite 2 achievements , players who have pre-purchased one of the free Xbox game 's Founder's Editions can dive in for some action this week via the 24/7 Closed Alpha. It's unclear if players will be able to unlock them yet, but the Alpha test's arrival has given us our first look at the Smite 2 Xbox achievements . Smite 2 is an upcoming free-to-play, 5v5 MOBA game that puts you in the shoes of various Gods from a host of pantheons as you wage war in third-person, ability-driven combat.
Built using Unreal Engine 5, Smite 2 developer Hi-Rez Studios says , "We took every opportunity possible to make combat feel more impactful, enable more creative gameplay, and add additional strategic depth," in this sequel, but it does come with some caveats. Unlike its predecessor's bulging roster of Gods, skins, and game modes, Smite 2 is expected to launch with just a Conquest mode and around 50 Gods — the first Smite now has over 130 Gods to play as — and looking at the Smite 2 achievement list, all of its focus is on playing the Conquest mode. There are 324 Smite achievements to unlock in the original game following years of support, so Smite 2's 27 Xbox achievements might feel like a breath of fresh air to the MOBA's veteran players.
The list looks fairly simple too, with many of its achievements linked to slaughtering Minions, destroying the returning Gold Fury and Fire Giant Jungle bosses, and completing Con.
