Jaipur: As many as 590 students of Vishwakarma Skills University (VSU) will be awarded their degrees by Governor Kalraj Mishra at the varsity’s first convocation ceremony on Friday. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore , state cabinet minister for skill, employment, and entrepreneurship, will also attend the ceremony. The governor will officially release the university’s anthem, composed by Ikram Rajasthani and set to music by Deepak Mathur, at the ceremony.

The 590 graduates who will receive their degrees include 430 undergraduates (255 male, 175 female) and 160 postgraduates (29 male, 131 female), said officials. The university has nearly 40 institutions in the state affiliated with it, and they offer skill education programmes. VSU’s curriculum spans a diverse range of fields, including product design, aerospace, beauty and wellness, communication design, hospitality and tourism.
