Sir Elton John has shared his concerns that he won't live to see major landmarks in his sons' lives. The 77-year-old music legend has been married to David Furnish since 2014 and together they are parents to sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11. After retiring from live music last year, it seems Sir Elton is feeling reflective on his life - and he even has a documentary about his career and personal life for fans to watch.

The star was at the Toronto International Film Festival over the weekend where he attended the world premiere of Elton John: Never Too Late - a documentary film about his life co-directed by The September Issue filmmaker R. J. Cutler alongside 61-year-old David.

The film chronicles's the Circle Of Life singer's rise to chart superstardom and also puts a spotlight on his personal and family life. Footage from the film reveals that Elton has been considering the end of his life and how his sons will miss out on having him in their lives for key events. He admits that he wishes he could live forever, but appreciates that this is fanciful.

PEOPLE magazine quoted scenes from the film showing the singer remark: "They think about my mortality. They worry about my mortality. Not so much David, but me.

.. [My sons] love their daddy, so they want me to be around forever, [and] I would love to be around forever.

" The star also considers how he might not live to become a grandfather. He is seen saying: "I want to see them have children and get married. I don't think I'm goi.
