Qadir Bux Mitho, a prominent figure in Sindh's entertainment landscape, is known for his pioneering contributions to stand-up comedy, parody, and mimicry. Currently, he is facing significant health challenges and financial distress. His plight was highlighted in a distressing video which surfaced on social media recently, prompting concerns from fans and the artistic community alike.

Mitho's family revealed that the 60-year-old comedian has been battling severe health issues, including diabetes and hypertension, which have led to a gradual decline in his overall well-being. Furthermore, Mitho lost his hearing ability a couple of years ago, rendering his hearing aids non-functional and contributing to his isolation from the performing arts community. Previously, Mitho relied on his performances at cultural events and shows to earn a living, but his deteriorating health has resulted in a lack of invitations from event organisers.

Expressing his disappointment, Mitho criticised the cultural department for its lack of support, stating, “People will remember you when you are at your peak; none will come to you in your downfall . ” He further revealed that his sons are currently unemployed and that he has repeatedly sought assistance from the government, but to no avail. The plight of the beloved artist, who has dedicated around four decades to entertaining audiences and has received the prestigious Pride of Performance award, has drawn widespread attention on social media.
