ITV series Britain's Got Talent is moving up north to film the auditions rounds - swapping London for Blackpool. The long-running ITV talent show has famously filmed the audition stages of the show at the Palladium theatre in the West End of the UK capital. But now the series - which includes former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli - will reportedly film these stages at the home of British ballroom: Blackpool.

The decision has been made after show bosses decided that there is a more electric atmosphere in the seaside town - which is famous for it's dramatic evening lights around the iconic Blackpool tower. Fans and auditionees will need to head north instead of gathering in the capital to sing for the affections of the show judges. Head judge Simon Cowell is said to have agreed to the move - while the other judges, including Bruno along with Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden - will have to travel to the town to decide who advances to the live shows.

Fans will also see YouTuber KSI take to the judging panel as he fills in for Bruno in some episodes that have already been filmed for the upcoming season which is expected to air in 2025. A source told The Sun of the changes: “BGT is a show that hangs on the audience and how they react — and basically the crowd in Blackpool are absolutely brilliant. The Palladium is such an iconic venue but if you compare the shows in Blackpool to the ones they have filmed in London, the audience is way more up for it there.
