Silversea Cruises is embarking on a new venture with the construction of a 150-room hotel in Puerto Williams, Chile, recognized as the southernmost city in the world. This strategic move is set to elevate their Antarctica expedition offerings, with the hotel slated for completion by late 2025, ensuring a seamless transition for travelers en route to the Antarctic.
This development is integral to Silversea’s Antarctica Bridge fly-cruise program, which connects Santiago to the White Continent, allowing guests to enjoy a streamlined journey while experiencing Silversea’s signature hospitality throughout. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Silversea’s partners, including Chilean investors and government officials, marking a significant milestone in the project’s construction. Positioned in the sub-Antarctic region of Patagonia, the hotel will boast stunning views of the Beagle Channel, snow-capped peaks, and untouched forests.
Guests can also look forward to amenities such as a restaurant, bar, fitness center, and a boutique offering local crafts. Silversea also aims to work closely with the Puerto Williams community, fostering local economic development while preserving the region’s cultural and environmental heritage..
