Lee accused Steve Umling of assault after Umling balled up a document that Lee said he presented to Umling and the rest of the board and threw it to the middle of the floor after Lee walked away from the podium. Before Umling threw the paper, Lee presented a document to the board explaining that he plans on filing a lawsuit against them for violation of Title 7 of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

No board member nor the board's president spoke on the matter after it happened. The meeting proceeded with no explanation. "It never shocks me with the actions of a racist white supremacist.

I'm glad he did it so people can see the physical reality of where Shreveport-Caddo is and has always been," Lee said.
