, Aug 26: The sacred festival of Shree Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with immense religious fervor across Jammu and , drawing devotees to various temples and participating in vibrant processions. In Jammu, the Shree Krishna Janmashtami celebrations were marked by devotional activities in prominent temples such as the Raghunath Temple, Radha Krishan Temple, and many others. These temples were adorned with beautiful decorations and vibrant lights, creating a divine atmosphere that resonated with the spirit of the festival.

Devotees thronged these sacred places to offer prayers, and the air was filled with the melodious chants of “Hare Krishna” and “Jai Shri Krishna,” reverberating throughout the city. The iconic Raghunathji Temple, being one of the largest and most revered temples in Jammu, witnessed a particularly large gathering of devotees. The temple complex was beautifully illuminated, and the festivities included special Bhajans and Kirtans dedicated to Lord Krishna.

The temple authorities organized a Grand Aarti in Mid Night, which was attended by a large number of devotees who participated with great enthusiasm. Meanwhile, in Srinagar, Kashmiri Pandits took out a Shoba Yatra on the auspicious occasion of Shree Krishna Janmashtami, celebrating the festival with joy and devotion. The Yatra, featuring children dressed in traditional attire on a “Jhanki” (decorated float), began from the Kathleshwar temple in the Tankipora area.
