Shōgun went into the ceremony as the most-nominated series in a single year in Emmys history with a total of 25 nods, while The Bear was nominated for 23 awards in total.

Ahead of the Primetime Emmys, Shōgun had won 14 of its 25 nominations at the Creative Arts Emmys , while The Bear had won seven of its 23 nominations at the same event. ‘The Bear’ cast.
