March 4, 1931 June 20, 2024 Shirley Andrews, 93, passed just after sunset on the Summer solstice, June 20, 2024. All of Anne's children played an incredible role in showering her with love and support in her last few days of life. She departed surrounded with love and well wishes from family near and far.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Jack Andrews. Anne was born March 4, 1931, in Montezuma KS, to Earl Burgess and Floy Hazel Kinnamon. Her parents were hard-working farmers and teachers who struggled through the Dust Bowl and believed thoroughly in education.

Anne had her first job at a grain mill at age eleven and was valedictorian of her high school class. She attended the University of Colorado Boulder and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. After two years of university, she married Jack, and together they built a beautiful family of seven.

In their first two years of marriage, they moved over 20 times due to Jack's job as a start-up engineer for oil refineries. Mark, Scott, Kirk, John, and Mary Leewere born in three different states and a foreign country. Pregnant and with four sons under the age of 10, Anne moved the family to England to join Jack who was already there.

Mary Lee was born two months later. She adapted to each change of home with grace, ensuring each of her children felt her love and stability despite the chaos of a growing family and the constant need to rebuild community in new places. Her children have said it was a se.
