After grappling on the floor, Isildur stabs Shelob and she quickly retreats, giving Isildur enough time to escape the cave on horseback. The spider tries to follow him but can’t keep up with him under the harsh glare of the light. Actor Baldry also told GamesRadar+ earlier this year what this sequence was like to film.
"I think there was a lot of expectation about how Shelob would look like," he told us at San Diego Comic-Con. "From when we were filming, it was a rugby ball, two guys in morph suits and some sticks, and I was like, ‘Oh god how is this going to turn out?’ I think they’ve done such an amazing job with it.
