Dan Gilroy, who was in a relationship with Duvall for 35 years, told TMZ on Monday that he wasn't upset by the lack of a tribute for the late actress at the ceremony, which honors the best in television. Duvall, who died on July 11 at 75, became the latest celebrity to be snubbed by an In Memoriam segment , but she wasn't alone at the the TV-centric awards ceremony, as director Eleanor Coppola, Chita Rivera, Johnny Wactor, right-wing political commentator Lou Dobbs and General Hospital star Tyler Christopher were also absent.
