Actress Sheelu Abraham has stated that extramarital affairs should not be blamed. Speaking in an interview with a YouTube channel, she argued that from the perspective of those involved, such relationships can be understandable. "Why don't you see it that way?" she asked, suggesting that circumstances often lead individuals into these relationships.

"Flaws in married life can lead to extramarital affairs. You can’t blame it. It’s all about individual freedom.

Rape is wrong, but there’s nothing wrong if it's consensual. However, it's not right to claim rape after willingly engaging multiple times," Sheelu stated. She added that while the public may not directly know about relationships within the film industry, they are often informed through rumours or reports.

"People who have known each other for many years may suddenly bring legal cases against one another," she noted. The actress also commented on the ongoing rape case involving director Omar Lulu, with whom she has a close friendship. Sheelu produced the movie 'Bad Boys', directed by Omar Lulu, which is expected to release during Onam.

She clarified that the film began production long before the allegations surfaced and the shooting continued even amid court proceedings. She acknowledged the concern that the case might affect the film's release but noted that such issues are common in the film industry. "No one can definitively say whether Omar Lulu is good or not," Sheelu said.
