is no stranger to the spotlight. In 2021, the Team USA frontrunner was controversially barred from competing at the Tokyo Games after testing positive for THC (found in weed) during the trials. Evidently, Sha'Carri did not let the ruling deter her Olympic dreams—take it from her recent performance in the track and field trials, which earned her a well-deserved spot on Team USA.

She finished in first place in the 100m with a time of 10.71 to stamp her ticket to Paris. Ahead of her long-awaited Olympic debut on August 2, had the opportunity to chat with Sha'Carri.

Aside from her impressive sprints, (did you hear she's the Fastest Woman in the World following her record-breaking 100-meter run in the 2023 World Championships?!), we couldn’t help but yap about all things beauty and fashion as we sat down to talk about her new role as Olay's ambassador. Ahead, Sha'Carri opens up about what motivates her on the track, her excitement for the , and the iconic TV shows she watches to decompress. My main motivation going into this summer—and obviously the Olympic Games—is being able to show my support system, everybody who has been following my journey, and myself that I am doing everything I can to prove myself out there on the track.
