Emergency services are responding after a person was hit by a train between Manchester and Oxford Road this morning. All services between Manchester and Warrington are currently closed. The incident occurred between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington at around 7am this morning.

All stations between Manchester Oxford Road and Warrington are currently closed as crews deal with the incident. Trains between Manchester and Warrington are currently cancelled or diverted following "severe disruptions" on the line. Operators affected include East Midlands Railway, Northern and TransPennine Express, with passengers urged to check before they travel this morning.
