1 2 3 4 Prayagraj : With around 40 crore people expected to arrive in tent city during the Maha Kumbh-2025, the mela police have devised an elaborate crowd management plan that included separate entry and exit routes. The plan was drafted considering all six main snan days to prevent overcrowding and ensure smooth movement. SSP (Kumbh Mela) Rajesh Dwivedi told TOI: "The mega religious and spiritual event is expected to draw millions of devotees from across India and around the world.

With Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructing that no devotee should face any inconvenience, a comprehensive crowd management plan will be implemented to ensure smooth and orderly proceedings throughout the event." He said since most visitors will arrive by road parking facilities will be provided in all directions around the city. "Separate routes for entry and exit in the fair area will ensure that those taking a holy dip do not return via the same path, preventing face-to-face congestion," he said.

The SSP emphasised that the aim is to maintain smooth mobility throughout the fair area and the city. "Additionally, the railways have been requested to operate more special trains to minimise travel delays. The railways responded positively, announcing the addition of several special trains.

For those needing a brief rest, designated holding areas have been identified," he added. It is estimated that on Mauni Amavasya, the largest gathering, 4 to 5 crore devotees would arrive to take a holy dip. .
