Heidi Liddle was involved in the attack at the Hart Space in Hart Street A "selfless" dance teacher "locked children in the bathroom" during the knife attack in Southport . Heidi Liddle was involved in the Hart Street attack which happened at around 11.55am on Monday, July 29.

Alice da Silva Aguiar, aged nine; Bebe King, aged six; and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, tragically died in the attack , in which eight other girls and two adults were injured. Police said the other children injured in the attack have all since been discharged from hospital and recovering at home. In a verified GoFundMe page , friend Amanda Reid said Heidi was "physically unhurt" in the attack but her actions helped some of the children at the Taylor Swift dance class to safety.

However, the statement added the "emotional and mental distress of this day will never disappear." Writing on the fundraising page, Heidi's friend said: "I am reaching out to raise funds for my beautiful friend Heidi, who, on the 29th July was the dance teacher involved in the tragic attack in Southport. She showed incredible bravery by ushering many children out of the building to safety and even locked children in the toilet to keep them safe.

Although she may not agree, she is a hero. I know her thoughts are constantly with all the children and families that have been affected. "Heidi is the most kind hearted, compassionate, talented and selfless person, which is why she is such a fantastic teaching assistant and dance teacher.
