A new show all about Aldi UK has been added to Netflix. Titled ’24 Hours in Aldi’ the show takes viewers behind the scenes to discover how it has managed to be named Britain's cheapest supermarket for three years running. The latest documentary on Netflix offers insights as it takes viewers behind the scenes at Aldi, exploring how Aldi went from a small-town German discount supermarket to Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket.
From the tips and tricks of the budget giant, to the secrets of how it keeps its prices so low, the programme provides a 24 hour look at both Aldi’s stores and supply chain. Whether it’s the smaller store layouts and more limited range of products, or its efficient processes in stores to speed things up, Aldi has a number of tricks up its sleeve to maintain its cheapest supermarket status. Its famous middle aisle is also a focus of the episode, with customers treating themselves to the amazing bargains on offer, while various taste tests take place to put Aldi’s products to the test against more-expensive alternatives.
It is one of a series of commissions by Channel 5, also including features on Costco, Tesco, Aldi, Waitrose, Costa and Greggs..
