Sean “Diddy” Combs and Cassie were business partners before they were a couple. Diddy took the young artist under his wing and credited her for salvaging his record label at a time when it needed saving. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs felt Cassie was 1 of 2 artists who helped Bad Boy Records Cassie initially managed to generate a buzz for her music without the support of Bad Boy Records.
Back when she was an aspiring singer, she posted her song “Me and You” on the old social media platform Myspace. “Me and You” gained such a massive following at the time that Diddy eventually heard it while at a club. He immediately wanted to know who was behind the growing song.
