A HEROIC Scots dad has tragically died in hospital one month after a horror assault in Wales. But the situation escalated and Andrew, who has a six-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son, was rushed to hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries. The freelance festival worker was found to have sustained "significant, widespread brain damage" and was put on life support in the University Hospital of Wales ' ICU. His heartbroken family rushed to Heath, Cardiff , to be with him before he was transferred to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh two weeks later.

Tragically, his family had to switch off his life support machine and began looking.
