Charlene Morrissey, from Coatbridge , North Lanarkshire, is currently fighting for her life in a hospital in Bali after the accident involving her scooter and a lorry on July 21. The beautician was knocked onto the road after her scooter collided with the lorry before the vehicle went on to drive over her arm.

She was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where she has already received multiple blood transfusions and several surgeries. However, Charlene is still facing further procedures as medics battle to save her arm. As it stands, Charlene's insurance company has refused to pay out over the accident and now her family have been hit with a hospital bill already amounting to £50,000.

A GoFundMe has been set up by family friends in a desperate bid to bring her home and already it has raised £75,000. A statement on the online fundraiser reads: "We are reaching out to you on behalf of Charlene and her family in the hope of urgently raising funds to cover Charlene's mounting medical expenses following a very serious road accident in Bali.
