After a rainy start to the week for the country, new WX Charts data depicts a weather front moving in from Northern France, which is set to bring a plume of hot air and possible 26C temperatures. While southern Britain is to be treated to warm sunshine, the same unfortunately can not be said for the north.

The maps from the independent metrological forecaster show conditions heating up again on Sunday, August 11, but this will be concentrated in the southeast of England. Scotland's temperatures are set to remain in the mid teens and while those in London and surrounding areas will be basking in the sunshine, Scots will be gearing up for lashings of rain. In Scotland, conditions on the same day are to be fairly unremarkable with maps showing the mercury averaging between 7 and 11C, lasting until Sunday.

For the following week on Monday, August 12, a massive wet weather front is set to move before covering the entire country. On Monday, areas could see a combined 53mm of rainfall in a single da.
