Monday, September 9, 2024 Scoot expands its Southeast Asia network with new routes to Kertajati, Indonesia, and Malacca, Malaysia, enhancing travel options from Singapore starting in 2024. Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), is set to expand its fleet with the addition of two new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft named Jalan-Jalan and Travel Kaki, arriving in September and October 2024. These aircraft will bolster Scoot’s operational capacity and pave the way for services to two new Southeast Asian destinations: Kertajati (Greater Bandung) in Indonesia and Malacca in Malaysia.
Starting September 28, 2024, Scoot will launch twice-weekly flights to Kertajati, with services scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturdays. On October 23, 2024, the airline will begin five-times weekly flights to Malacca, running on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and additional days from November. The inaugural flight to Kertajati (TR292) will depart from Singapore at 3:45 PM and arrive at 4:50 PM, with the return flight (TR293) departing at 5:25 PM and reaching Singapore at 8:15 PM.
From October 1, these flights will shift to earlier slots, departing Singapore at 5:00 AM and arriving at 6:05 AM, with the return flight at 6:40 AM, reaching Singapore by 9:40 AM. Flights to Malacca (TR408) will start on October 23, departing Singapore at 2:00 PM and arriving in Malacca at 2:55 PM, with the return flight (TR409) leaving Malacca at 3:50 PM and landing in Singapore at 4:45 PM.
