An 11-year-old girl who tragically died after falling from a hotel balcony in Majorca has been remembered as a 'bubbly' child and a 'talented athlete'. Clodagh Phelan was on a family holiday on the Spanish island when the tragic incident occurred. Emergency services were called to an unnamed hotel in Alcudia, Majorca, following reports of a girl falling from a balcony on Sunday, July 21.

It is understood that her parents were asleep at the time of the incident, which was reported by another guest at the hotel. Family friend Billy Porter described it as a "devastating day" for Clodagh's family and community. He revealed he had spoken to Clodagh's father Liam, from Rathdrum in Co Wicklow, Ireland, and said the family are bracing themselves for a "long road" ahead, with their immediate focus being on bringing Clodagh home.
